45 Mil Reinforced Polypropylene Liner
Description
This fusion-weldable, polyester-reinforced membrane is engineered for use in floating covers, liners, and caps across a wide range of containment applications. It is specifically formulated for long-term performance in exposed installations, supporting multi-decade dependable service life in demanding environmental conditions. The membrane is produced in formats that nearly eliminate field-seams and support efficient installation.
The membrane is based on a UV-stabilized polypropylene copolymer that maintains flexibility without the use of polymeric or liquid plasticizers. Its inherent physical properties are enhanced by a high-strength polyester scrim that is fully encapsulated between the polypropylene top and bottom plies. This construction delivers excellent tensile strength, tear resistance, and puncture resistance while maintaining dimensional stability and resistance to environmental stress cracking.
A smooth top-ply surface allows for consistent fusion seam welding, creating a watertight, monolithic membrane system. The material offers strong resistance to chemicals, moisture transmission, solar UV exposure, ozone, and oxidation, while also exhibiting low water absorption and vapor permeance. Manufactured using a hot-melt extrusion process with a warp-knitted polyester reinforcement, the membrane provides a smooth surface, uniform thickness, and lay-flat handling characteristics suitable for potable and industrial applications.
