Our tank designs prioritize ease of installation, making it feasible for your local crew to handle the assembly with minimal labor requirements. Detailed, illustrated instructions accompany each shipment, ensuring that the process is straightforward and efficient. This approach allows you to manage the installation in-house or through a trusted local contractor, reducing costs and simplifying project management. By working with your own team or a locally sourced contractor, you benefit from their specialized expertise while maintaining control over the installation timeline and budget. Our tank components are completely finished and require only bolt-together assembly on virtually any firm and level surface for free-standing or anchor bolted installation.

Tools and Equipment for Installation

Our tanks are designed to be installed by crews with general construction experience, even if they have not seen our type of tank before. Simple hand tools and equipment are all that is needed, including a forklift with a minimum capacity of 5,000 lbs., to unload our trucks and position various skids at the site for deployment. Items including, but not limited to, 3/8″ drive ratchet wrenches, 9/16″ x 3/8″ drive deep sockets, 9/16″ combo open/box end wrenches, hammers, large Phillips screwdrivers for lining up holes, pry bars, a 2″ – 6″ x 8′ long pipe for deploying the liner, ladders, and an electric or pneumatic torque wrench with a power source and a 9/16″ deep socket for the torque wrench, are commonly used.

Installation by Independent Contractors

ModuTank Inc. offers a wide range of bolted steel tanks designed for quick assembly by untrained crews using common hand tools. Compakt factory-fabricated tank components are shipped knocked-down, on standard skids, for easy handling by forklifts and workmen. Typically, a crew of four to six workmen can install a tank, depending on size, in approximately three to four days. While ModuTank Inc. does not offer set-up or tear-down services directly, we can provide an extensive network of experienced independent contractors for your installation. We can select appropriate companies, depending on the location of installation, and which tank model is being erected. Most importantly, the ModuTank Inc. warranty remains intact regardless of who installs the tank, unlike other manufacturers that require certified installers or their own crews.

We offer comprehensive remote support, including assistance via telephone, email, FaceTime, Skype, and other communication methods. Our team is readily available to provide guidance and troubleshooting throughout the installation process, as needed, ensuring that any challenges are swiftly addressed. A turn-key option is also available that utilizes specialized independent contractors who have more than 30 years experience with our tanks. This level of support ensures that your installation is completed without delay, and to the highest standards.
