Our reinforced membrane liners are highly resistant to UV exposure, weathering, and chemical attack. Once properly installed, these liners require no maintenance whatsoever. When a liner is successfully installed on day one, it is likely it will continue to perform for decades without issue. In most cases, a simple visual walk-around inspection is all that’s needed to ensure continued integrity.
The life expectancy of ModuTank liners depends on the stored liquid, but 20+ years of continuous service is common. Liners can also be replaced independently of the steel structure, providing an easy and cost-effective refresh when the time eventually comes.
Sustaining Galvanized Steel Components
The hot-dip galvanized structural supports offer an outdoor life expectancy ranging from several to many decades. While mill-galvanized wall panels may show minimal surface patina over time in harsh environments, restoration is simple and fast. A quick wire brushing and application of cold galvanizing paint is all that’s needed to maintain the protective surface, ensuring the tank’s integrity is easily sustained.
Once the tank is fully erected and successfully filled, the bolts do not require re-tightening, and the structure itself requires no official maintenance beyond occasional visual inspection and minor touch-up as needed.
