30 Mil XR-3 PW Liner
Description
ModuTank Inc. fabricates Seaman Corporation’s XR-3® PW into precision-fitted tank liners designed specifically for the world’s most precious resource. While industrial liners focus on harsh chemical barriers, XR-3 is engineered to maintain the purity of potable water. It offers unparalleled resistance to UV radiation and oxidation, ensuring that the liner does not degrade or leach over time. Unlike standard liners that may become brittle, XR-3 utilizes specialized reinforced ethylene interpolymer (EIP) technology. This ensures the material remains flexible and reliable through decades of service, providing a low-maintenance, long-term solution for finished water storage and distribution systems.
Safety and compliance are at the heart of XR-3’s design. It is specifically formulated to meet and exceed NSF/ANSI/CAN 61 standards for potable water contact, ensuring that no harmful substances migrate into the water supply. While many generic liners can struggle with the residual chlorine or chloramines used in municipal disinfection, XR-3’s molecular structure remains stable and resistant to these additives. This high level of permeation resistance protects the water from external soil contaminants while simultaneously preventing loss of treated water, keeping your facility in strict compliance with health and environmental regulations.
Beyond its safety profile, XR-3 offers remarkable dimensional stability. Because it features a very low coefficient of thermal expansion and contraction, it eliminates the “bridging” or “whale” wrinkles that often plague thinner, non-reinforced membranes during temperature shifts. This stability allows for a superior fit-to-form within the tank, reducing mechanical stress on the material. Furthermore, the material’s high strength-to-weight ratio allows ModuTank to prefabricate large, custom-fitted panels in a controlled factory environment. This minimizes or even eliminates the need for field seams, drastically reducing installation efforts, and lowering overall project costs.
